What do you think of this website? Well, it's mine and I love it, but I didn't do much other than supply some pictures and some thoughts. Sanora Consulting made it all work. They forced me to work toward perfection, yet kept the message in my "voice."
Khrystle Rae, Sanora's CEO, has assembled a fine team of marketers, designers and strategic thinkers. Were it not for her and her team, Sail Channel Islands would not be strong; would not be growing..
Chris Tucker's Sailtime in Channel Islands Harbor offers just about
everything boat ownership does except the headaches and huge bills.
Check out this video where John McKinney, a real, live Sailtimer and a sailing buddy of mine tells why he would never buy his own boat ... or even rent one.
There's more to tell, but I'll leave that to Chris. Call him at 805.320.8687 or virtually visit SailTime Channel Islands fractional sailing club
Island Packers
Island Packers is a local tradition. They've been cruising the California
Channel Islands for education, recreation, and research since 1968. Driving ultra-fast, extremely comfortable power catamarans, they'll take you to the Channel Islands for hiking, camping, kayaking, whale watching,
school field trips or stay-on-the-boat sightseeing. They travel to all five islands in the Channel Islands National Park.
If you want to BE at the islands in a hurry, this is the way to go. 805-642-1393 Island Packers
Le Petit Cafe Bakery Restaurant
Our favorite restaurant and only caterer is found right across the harbor. Jean Luc provides us with the finest picnics this side of Marseilles. If you sail with us near mealtime, we most highly recommend you pick up a basket or ask him to make you sandwiches pour Wiley. Or we can make your order and pick it up for you.
Sailing later?
We can drop you off for dinner at his place when we return. It's about a half mile back to your car and after one of his brilliant meals you'll want a brief promenade along our beautiful waterfront.
Aboard Wiley, we pour only Zaca Mesa wines. We hardly ever set to sea
without a bottle or two of their exceptional Syrah to accompany our
hearty dinners and some Chardonnay and Viognier that we'll break out if
you've chosen to spend a lazy afternoon at anchor. While you're in our
area, consider driving to their estate in the Santa Ynez mountains to
sample their other Rhone-style wines. I'll point that range out as we
return to harbor. It's only an hour and change away. Or click your mouse
on zacamesa.com and go there
at the speed of light.
Our Manly
Our man in Australia - Paul Hamilton - has been writing some great stuff. We really liked the story about Sail Channel Islands, but his news and his views about the rest of the world are far more entertaining. Visit Pablo, Paolo, Paulie and all his other incarnations at Our Manly
Our Manly, btw, is from Manly Australia - the beach community of Sydney.
