This is Capt. Dan's hat and you can buy one just like it for $15. We can throw in directions for looking steely-eyed as well as supplementary lessons in looking salty. Hint: never show up at the docks with legible-wear that says, skipper, captain, and never, never anything that says owner. It is not necessary to appear ragged or even unkempt, but a day's growth of beard just says "too rough out there to shave with my rigging knife." Oh yeah, avoid saying AARGGHH. Even in jest, it's pitiful. And don't fly the skull and crossbones unless you also post a Wanted flyer at the post office with your picture on it.     This is my skipper shirt I'm not really a skipper, but I pretend. The real skippers around here have gone through American Sailing Association lessons from Basic Keelboat, through Coastal Navigation. Buy a shirt. It's easier. Cheaper, too. It's only $15.00.
