Corporate Team Training/Team Building

Capt. Dan, a former curriculum designer and teacher for the Navy, Air Force and public schools, will help you develop and deliver a one or two-day corporate team building program.

Sailing from the Ventura Harbor, your team will learn to rig and sail Wiley, Sail Channel Island's 36 foot Catalina yacht. Team members will learn each position and will rotate through all positions including skipper, jib trimmer, main trimmer and helmsman.

The team will practice driving blind, using only visual communication between helmsman and lookout to navigate to a precision landing. They will learn to work in concert to take advantage of wind and sea conditions, trimming the sails and driving the boat to reach maximum performance.

Your corporate team will learn the boat, will learn to sail, but most important they will learn the dynamics of their team.

Especially effective for corporate teams that confront unexpected challenges on the job.

Training sessions include a thorough briefing on the exercises and are followed by a discussion of lessons learned and application of those lessons in the workplace.
